Tim van Werd is a DJ, producer and remixer from the Netherlands. Tim started at a young age by playing the drums, trumpet and piano. He used these skills especially for playing classical, pop-and jazz music, and does so now when he is producing dance music.
His focus is on house music by using his own funky and groovy sound. Since 2012 Tim started playing in clubs and in 2013 he started producing his own music. In 2016 he graduated at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht as a Dance Producer. This academy is well known for bringing forth great talent the likes of Martin Garrix, Boaz van de Beatz (producer Yellow Claw), and Julian Jordan.
Tim’s Music
In 2015 Tim released his first record ‘Avant Garde’ at Big & Dirty Records. Later that year he started a collaboration with RoulnDoors and made the record ‘ZIG’; released on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings.
In 2016 he connected with Fedde le Grand and Dannic, releasing ‘Bounce To This’ (Darklight Recordings) and ‘Vintage’(Fonk Recordings).
In 2017 he got recognition from Nicky Romero and released ‘Belong’ on Nicky’s label Protocol Recordings. Later that year the songs ‘La Palma’ and ‘Hot Sand’ came out.
In 2018 he released the iconic ‘Balkan Disco’, which hits over 4 million plays. Later that year he released ‘Inside Out’, ‘Break The Night’ and ‘Message From The Whales’. All supported by the biggest names in the scene!
2019 started with successful singles called ‘Your Love’ and ‘Flashback’ on Hardwell’s imprint Gemstone. Tim’s got recognition from the Spotify team and many plays followed thereafter. 2020: Tim is going back to what he likes most: House Music.He started the year with a successful collaboration with LAKSHMI, their song ‘Wars’ got recognized by the dutch radio, ‘’A perfect crossover between house and indie’’.
